Don’t you love 60 degree days in the middle of February?? It was the perfect day to shake off the winter blues and get outside for some maternity portraits. Princeton University is one of my favorite places in the area to take pictures because the architecture there is diverse and beautiful. Even in the middle of winter when there are no leaves on the trees, it provides a rich, colorful backdrop for any photo session.
(Plus, I think it looks like Hogwarts and we all know how much I love Harry Potter)

I had the pleasure of meeting Brittany and Mike first to do their engagement photos, then their wedding photos, and then their first set of maternity photos. Here we are 10 years later, with their four-year-old son and a daughter on the way.
Capturing the growth of their relationship and family has been an absolute honor and hanging out with their son was the highlight of my day.

Working with kids is so much fun for me. We run around, we play, we talk about our favorite dessert foods (his is cupcakes, I prefer brownies), and have a grand time. Pictures of them facing forward and smiling are nice but what really captures the essence of their little personalities at this moment in time are the candid shots. This little guy loves to jump over things and all together move. We got some great shots of him playing and being himself. We also fit in some shots of his beautiful mom and future sister as well.
