For the second year in a row, Antwaun Stanley played to a packed house at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. This year, donned in blue velvet, he sang a set of originals, covers, and some Vulfpeck favorites.
Antwaun is an amazing singer and it’s no shock that the place was jam-packed. He did a solo set accompanied mostly by Jon Notar on keys. Those in the know may have spotted another member of Vulfpeck sneak onto stage ahead of time and put his famous bass guitar on stage.
After a few original songs, Antwaun called up guitarist Chris Mazuera from the opening band, Habe, to join him on “Where are We (Now)?
After that, fellow Vulfpeck member and his self-proclaimed “brother from another mother”, Joe Dart joined him on stage for two songs.
In a time of uncertainty and turmoil in the world, it was so nice to have a night filled with love, positivity and amazing music. The feeling in the room was electric and we all fed off of it. I walked out of there feeling so at peace and happy. This is the power of live music and the power of Antwaun Stanley.
