Autumn finally decided to blow in, literally, on a sunny Friday in Bensalem, PA. In spite of the blustery weather, it was still a beautiful day for Jen and Rich to start the rest of their lives together. We started the day in the Manor House, which is a beautiful old house that has been converted into a place that both the bride and the groom can use to get ready in addition to stay overnight after their reception ends. Jen and her sister, the matron of honor, got ready in the upstairs room with the help of “an expert” flower girl. She had been in 4 weddings, so she was very well versed on her responsibilities.

Jen and Rich chose to do a private first look together in the garden nearby the Manor House. They braved the cold and wind to have a few minutes to themselves before the ceremony. I love the look on Rich’s face when he sees his bride. I had help capturing this moment from my awesome second photographer, Daniel Nydick of Daniel Nydick Photography. He took the top left image below.

After they had a brief moment together, we went back into the warm Manor House to take the rest of the formal portraits. I loved being able to use this space for portraits. It’s perfect for the cold months when you don’t want to be outside for too long.
The center of the Manor House has a beautiful staircase with a chandelier at the top. Daniel had a great idea for a shot at the bottom of the staircase and so the two of use set up the shot, and I helped light it while he climbed up three flights of stairs to grab the shot. It’s one of my favorite images from this wedding.

The ceremony and reception was in the main building at La Luna. They had fall themed decorations including Bride and Groom pumpkins, and custom burlap banners.
